Sanford Springvale Art Association

Born and formally schooled through High School in Bucksport, ME, I’ve since taught myself to make pictures of all kinds in various mediums. I do realistic land and seascapes as well as portraits of animals and people for fun and commission. After High School, I read a lot about graphic art, writing, music composition and many other subjects that interest me. I’ve written, illustrated, and published stories, poems, rhymes, and songs with music. I’ve recently written over 900 pages of autobiography.

At 74, I’m retired after 42 years with P&WA as a welding operator and a Process Engineer, am happily married for 55 years so far, am an active Latter-Day Saint. I’ve held membership in various art groups, winning many awards for my art work. Since 1990, I’ve lived in Sanford, where I’m a member of the Sanford-Springvale Art Association. My work can be seen in many places in the Sanford area, including the new Sanford Springvale Art Gallery, the H.D. Goodall Hospital (where I’m a volunteer artist and pianist), the Physical Therapy establishment at Deer Ridge, Associated Eyecare on ME Rts. 111-202, at my home on June Street, & on line at sanfordspringvaleart.org and at www.eons.com. I sign my work URBAN and usually date it beneath the signature.
