Place: Sanford/Springvale Art Gallery, 917 Main St., Sanford, ME 04073
Jury fee: $10 for 1 piece of artwork or $15 for 2 pieces of artwork (non-refundable)
Drop-off: Wednesday, Sept 1st, 9:00am-11:00am
Pick-up of unaccepted artwork: Wednesday, Sept 1st, 3:00pm-4:00pm
Show dates: Friday, Sept 3rd to Wednesday Oct 6th
Reception: Friday, Sept 3rd, 5:00pm-7:00pm
Show hours: The Art Gallery is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm
Pick-up of artwork: Wednesday, October 6th from 9:00am till 4:00pm. (If you cannot pick-up your artwork,
please arrange for someone to pick-up for you).

The Sanford/Springvale Art Association is pleased to announce our Open Juried Art Show which has
the theme this year of “PORTALS”. This show is open to all Artists, over the age of 18, in the following
mediums: oils, watercolors, pastels, acrylics, mixed media, collage, photography, sculpture, pencil drawings,
pen and ink, fiber art, mosaics, metal works and clay art.
Up to 2 works of art may be submitted for jurying with a completed Exhibit Agreement (a separate form)
and with the non-refundable $10 fee for 1 artwork or $15 jury fee for 2 artworks (please cash or check only). All
works of art must be original, completed within the last 2 years and properly matted (where applicable) and
properly framed and wired (no saw tooth hangers, tension mounts, standing photo frames or pop-in frames
please). Please note that wet paintings will not be accepted. Also, all works of art must be for sale.
Because of limited space in our gallery, we ask that the framed size of all artwork for this show be no
larger than 900 square inches.
All works of art must be labeled front and back stating: Artist name, title of work, medium and price.
Please bring an Artist biography sheet and/or Artist statement for the Show Book if your art is accepted.
Please note that the Sanford/Springvale Art Association will take a 15% commission on any works sold
at this show.
This show will be judged for ribbons and cash prizes in the following categories: 1st place $200, 2nd
place $150, 3rd place $100, and 4 merit awards of $50 each with 3 to 5 honorable mentions.
