| NEW Opportunities
|
The Sanford Economic Growth Council has space around the corner from the Gallery. The employees were delighted with our Gallery and would like to hang artwork in their space in the future . Plans are also being made to hopefully participate in a Model Air Plane event in September at Sanford Air Port. We will be working with the Sanford growth Council on the plans.
Pat Smith explained the Maine Made program to the members present. It is a program that might be beneficial to the Gallery. Several other possible ways to help advertise and promote our gallery were also discussed. A new publication, The Art Guide, which is devoted to the arts and artists of the South Coast Maine Communities is another possibility.

| Bathroom

The access door to our bathroom is now open and the key to that doors hanging on a hook next to the door - please take the key with you so that you won't get locked out of the gallery.

| Log Book
|
|
We now have a log book at the gallery. Please take the time to date and write your comments when you are sitting at the gallery.

| SSAA Scholarship Winner |
|
This year’s SSAA Scholarship winner is Zachary Krall, who is going onto to college this fall and plans to major in photography. We have received a thank you letter from Zachary and hope to interview him soon and then send out a press release about this young man.

| Painting Nights |
|
The third Thursday of the month at the Springvale Library from 5pm to 8:00 pm come and paint with other interested people in having a creative "zone" to paint either something of your choice or a model if there is one.

All association forms are located in the off-white box on the floor, behind the counter. The box contains: membership forms, show agreements (both for the Gallery and the Hospital), Minutes from meetings (red folder), Gallery information (blue folder), a “mail folder” for each of the officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership, Webmaster, please use these for any letters, notes, and any information that needs to reach the above.
