Sanford Springvale Art Association and the Historical Society of Sanford Springvale
Artists were invited to participate in the Sanford Springvale Art Association’s arts
project: “ Remembering Our Community Sanford - Springvale.”
The event, which had artists depicting our community through their chosen media, took place over the course of the month of August. Works have been submitted and an exhibition is located at the Sanford Springvale Art Gallery on Main Street in Sanford. The committee of three jurors, Nancy Coutts, a local artist, Harland Eastman, local historian, book writer and Historical Society member, and Lee Burnett, Sanford Town Grant writer selected three works to receive purchase prizes of $300 per piece. These selected works will be on permanent display in Sanford’s municipal buildings for residents and visitors to enjoy. This project “Remembering our Community – Sanford- Springvale ” will forever capture the scenes of our community through the Arts.

The 3 winners will each receive a $300 purchase prize and their paintings will be presented to the Town of Sanford at the October Town Council meeting.
Honorable mentions go to the following people and will receive a $25 prize:

A reception for this show will take place Saturday, September 12, 5-7 pm at the Gallery on Main Street, come meet the artists, enjoy the artwork and refreshments.
